About Us
Founded in 1981, Fremantle Swan is Australia's oldest standing dragon boat club, competing in state regattas and national championships.
Our paddlers have represented Western Australia and Australia several IDBF World Championships, returning with gold medals. We also participate in international competitions across Asia.
As a competitive yet family-oriented club, we welcome both juniors and parents, ensuring there's a place for everyone, whether competitive or social.
What we offer

What People Say

Fabrizio Giannelli, FSDBC
It's an amazing environment for everyone at every age.. It's a competition vibe all the time which I fell in love with. And, what an incredible experience at my first competition. Amazing!
Guys, come and give it a try!

Rachel Abercrombie, FSDBC
I tried padding for the first time at the club open day and whilst it was a challenge, everyone was very supportive and helped me learn some of the techniques. I am now a member of the club but actually feel like part of the "family". This is a great sport and the club is full of fantastic people. I would highly recommend coming down to try!

Christie Ho, Aurora, FSDBC Junior
Both of my Aurora campaigns — representing Australia 2023 in Thailand and 2025 in Germany — have been nothing short of amazing. I will forever be grateful for every single moment I’ve spent with the Australian team and the tremendous support from my club and family.
I hope that in the future, more juniors from WA will take up the challenge and join me on this epic dragon boat journey.
